Erik has over 22 years of experience as an Environmental Scientist and Project Manager and currently is the Co-Head of the Building Services group at Liesch. He serves as a liaison between regulatory agencies and clients who need services in asbestos and lead assessments, industrial hygiene as well as health and safety services.

Erik’s group assists clients in a number of areas including asbestos surveys, lead-in-paint and lead-in-soil testing in conjunction with renovation and demolition projects, design and implementation of abatement specification or management plans. During this process, he coordinates air monitoring, including indoor-air quality assessments, project documentation and regulatory oversight.

Erik also coordinates industrial hygiene monitoring whereby he assists clients with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance by providing written program development, job hazard analysis and exposure monitoring. He also offers training and educational services to clients seeking OSHA compliance or to those who would like to reduce accident and injury rates in the work place.

Erik obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He is currently registered and/or licensed in the following areas: Asbestos Building Inspector, Asbestos Management Planner, Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor, and Asbestos Project Designer in select states.
