Environmental services in an airport setting instill many challenges not experienced at other sites. From security and continuous operations to the nature of the contaminants of concern and the need for teamwork by multiple professional organizations, airports are specialized environments that take specialized expertise to solve your issues. Solutions must take into consideration the limitations imposed by airport operations and the enhanced security required for projects in the air operations area. In addition, the challenging economics of air travel mandate that solutions be well thought out and very cost effective.
At Liesch, we have that practical experience and successful track record to be your resource for environmental consulting services. Since 1989, we have been providing environmental consulting services to our largest airport client, the MAC, which manages the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and six reliever airports. Those services have included glycol management, storm water management, soil and groundwater assessment and remediation, construction dewatering management, permitting, and representation with the regulatory agencies and local community. Similar services have been provided to other airports from Anchorage, Alaska to Chicago, Illinois.
When serving the airport community, our first task is to listen to your needs and understand the ultimate objectives and stakeholders involved. Once we have your needs established and discussed expectation on the timeframe of project completion and site limitations we must consider, we develop the plan to achieve the needed outcome. That plan will include presentation of milestones and critical path decisions that will need to be made to allow the project to be completed on schedule, on budget, and meet your ultimate environmental needs. This collaboration between the airport staff and management and Liesch will lead to successful resolution of the issues at hand.
